the way we all sabotage
our very own peace of mind.
i’m finally back from the game, and work, and caught up with everything.
so i can blog.
so friday we drove to atlanta and watched the braves game. it was chipper’s last game ever, and it was really cool to watch his last hit. actually, it was really sad. the braves were completely robbed of a win and due to the bad infield fly call, we had to take a 20 minute break while beer bottles were being thrown on the field and most of the stadium chanted “BULL SH*T” over and over and booed the refs until it was all cleaned up.
Chipper’s last bat kind of made me want to cry, and I’ve only been a fan for a year. So I could only imagine how life long fans felt. Not going to lie, I got goosebumps and teared up a bit when he tipped his hat at the crowd and waved to everyone before he went up to the plate. And then his bat broke when he hit a single. I don’t know, it was just something I know I’ll never forget.
Saturday, after 4 and a half hours of sleep, I opened at Sun Tan City, and then we had chili and went to Jackson’s Orchard, which is basically a baby Huber’s. We went through the corn maze and picked pumpkins and had apple cider and caramel apples and fried apple pies. Basically anything and everything apple. And I was in bed, asleep, by 10:15.
Today I had the most ridiculous test to date.. basically, it’s a 55 minute class, so it’s supposed to be a 55 minute test.. no. 2 hours later I was the 4th person to leave, and there were still 6 more people in the room. It was a history test.. in GERMAN. So imagine that, recalling all these dates and events, but translating them into German. It was a nightmare. But I think I held my own pretty well.. I mean, I usually rock at history tests because I just kind of write well and throw in a few dates here and there.
We’ll see. Anyway, it feels amazing to have that off my chest and I don’t work tomorrow and Friday night after work I’m going home. So.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to catch up on Parks and Rec, the Office, and Modern Family.
cheers.
